About
The standard has a name attached to it.
Every audit is performed by one person, and that person signs it.
Louis "Lou" Tillman
Founder, IV Consulting
I am a strategist and creative director in Los Angeles. My work spans brand and sales strategy, nonprofit advocacy, and due diligence reports for startups raising institutional capital. The common thread: making accomplished people and companies legible to the audiences that matter, whether that audience is an investor reading a data room or a referral reading your homepage.
The due-diligence work is why this audit exists in the form it does. Reading a data room teaches you what an unsupported claim looks like to someone whose job is to find the gap. Most websites are unsupported claims. The difference is that nobody tells the owner.
The audit exists because I kept seeing the same pattern: accomplished people whose reputation was carrying their website instead of the other way around, losing something they could not see and nobody reported.
Why the standard is public
The ten dimensions are published, the scoring is published, and this site's own score is published, failing grade included. A measurement practice that hides its method is asking for the same unearned trust it exists to challenge.
The IV Consulting relationship
CanvasAudit is the assessment practice of IV Consulting LLC. The audit is sold and delivered under CanvasAudit. Implementation work, sprints and full overhauls, is delivered by IV Consulting. They are kept visibly separate so the diagnosis is never a sales instrument for the treatment.
